Detailed Itinerary.

Day 01 : Arrive in New Delhi (By Flight)

Upon your arrival at New Delhi International Airport, our representative will warmly welcome you and escort you to your hotel. You’ll receive assistance with the check-in process and a detailed briefing on your upcoming tiger safari journey, including all essential travel documents. Relax and unwind after your flight with an overnight stay at your hotel.

Day 02 : New Delhi – Corbett (275 kms/6 hrs drive)

Your unforgettable Jim Corbett tiger safari experience begins today. Early in the morning, depart from New Delhi for Corbett National Park (approx. 275 km), travelling via Kaladhungi — once the residence of the legendary Jim Corbett, now preserved as a museum in his honour.

Upon arrival, check into your jungle lodge nestled near the edge of the national park. Later in the evening, enjoy a peaceful nature walk along the riverbank near the lodge, soaking in the sights and sounds of the wild. Dinner and overnight stay at the lodge located just outside the park.

Kaladhungi holds a special place in Corbett’s legacy. Named after the “Kala Dhunga” (black stone) once used for smelting iron, this quaint town is where Jim Corbett shot his last man-eater in 1946. Historically, it also served as a resting point for travellers journeying from Kathgodam to Nainital.

In 1922, Corbett built a charming Irish-style cottage here for his family, which he later handed over before departing for Kenya in 1947. Though he never returned, the house was transformed into a museum in 1967 by the Forest Department, now managed by the Corbett Tiger Reserve. The museum, recently renovated, offers a thematic insight into Jim Corbett’s life — showcasing his conservation work, close association with local communities, and personal memorabilia.

Day 03 : In Corbett National Park

As you walk the very trail where Jim Corbett famously tracked and shot the Man-Eater of Mohan. This historic path offers a unique opportunity to connect with the legacy of India’s most revered hunter-turned-conservationist.

After lunch, head to Powalgarh Conservation Reserve, a region deeply etched in Corbett’s chronicles. It was here that he encountered and shot the legendary Powalgarh tiger — the largest tiger he ever saw. The forested landscape still echoes the stories of Corbett’s daring pursuits and his deep respect for the wild.

Return to your lodge in Ramnagar for a hearty dinner and a peaceful overnight stay amid the wilderness.

Day 04 : In Corbett National Park

Begin your day with an early morning tiger safari in Corbett’s Jhirna Zone, offering a chance to spot the park’s rich wildlife. After breakfast, visit Choti Haldwani, the historic village once owned by Jim Corbett. Enjoy a traditional lunch in the village as locals share fascinating tales and legends of Corbett’s life and legacy.

Choti Haldwani, which Corbett retained even after leaving India, reflects his deep bond with the community. He transferred land ownership to his tenants and continued paying land revenue on their behalf. The village, which turned 100 in 2015, stands as a testament to Corbett’s efforts to support sustainable agriculture and uplift the lives of its people.

Day 05 : In Corbett National Park

Start your day with a morning jeep tiger safari in the Dhela Zone of Corbett National Park, known for its scenic beauty and diverse wildlife. After breakfast, drive to Nainital, the birthplace of Jim Corbett, and the town where he spent his formative years.

Throughout his life, Corbett resided in several homes, including Cliffton, Mount Pleasant, and the famous Gurney House—a must-visit for every Corbett admirer. Other notable residences include his home in Mokameh Ghat (Bihar), Arundale and the Corbett Museum in Kaladhungi, and the Outspan Hotel in Nyeri, Africa. Most homes in Nainital are located on Ayarpatta Hill, considered safe after the 1880 landslide.

These colonial-era houses not only tell the story of Jim Corbett but also reflect British architectural design, using materials and elements suited to the local climate—cool in summer, warm in winter.

Day 06 : In Corbett National Park

Begin your morning with a thrilling jeep tiger safari in the Bijrani Zone of Corbett National Park. At the park gate, transfer to a safari vehicle with your baggage. Keep your camera ready—the 32 km (1.5-hour) drive through the park’s core area offers excellent chances to spot Tigers, Leopards, and Asian Elephants.

Upon arrival, check into the iconic Dhikala Forest Rest House. After lunch, head out for an afternoon safari in this wildlife-rich region. Staying inside the park is a rare privilege unique to Jim Corbett Tiger Reserve. The rest house, set along the banks of the Ramganga River, offers panoramic views of the Himalayan foothills.

Please note that alcohol and smoking are strictly prohibited. Return from safari by sunset, followed by dinner and an overnight stay at the Forest Rest House.

Day 07 : In Corbett National Park

Enjoy both morning and afternoon jeep tiger safaris in the heart of Jim Corbett National Park, with all meals and overnight stay at the Forest Rest House. Begin your day at sunrise, venturing deep into the forest as the jungle awakens with the roar of tigers, the trumpet of elephants, and the melodic calls of birds—earning Corbett its famed description as “the land of roar, trumpet, and song.”

This iconic park was the launch site of India’s ambitious Project Tiger, making it a landmark in conservation history. The rich biodiversity here is supported by its unique location at the foothills of the central Himalayas, where Himalayan and peninsular species of flora and fauna coexist in harmony.

Return from your evening safari at sunset. Dinner and overnight stay at the Forest Rest House.

Day 08 : In Corbett National Park

Morning and afternoon jeep tiger safaris along with all meals and overnight stay at the Forest Rest House, located deep inside Corbett National Park. Spanning 520 sq. km, this is India’s first and most prestigious national park. It was initially established as Hailey National Park on August 8, 1936, in honour of Sir Malcolm Hailey, then Governor of the United Provinces.

In 1952, it was renamed Ramganga National Park, and later, in tribute to the legendary Jim Corbett—hunter, naturalist, author, and photographer—the park was officially named Corbett National Park. Corbett played a vital role in the park’s establishment and in defining its boundaries, leaving behind a lasting legacy in India’s wildlife conservation history.

Day 09 : Corbett – New Delhi (275/6 hrs drive)

Embark on an early morning jeep tiger safari in Corbett National Park. After breakfast, check out from the lodge and begin your drive towards the park exit. Keep your camera equipment handy, as there may be a chance to spot more wildlife on your way out.

Upon exiting the park, drive back to New Delhi, a scenic 275 km (approximately 5-hour) journey. Upon arrival, check in for an overnight stay at your hotel.

  Wonderful Nature Safari Nature safari is by far the best travel/tour company I have ever dealt with. The booking and communication before the trip was excellent. All my questions & queries were answers within a day and in so much detail. Ishana was very friendly and helpful - it felt like I was meeting an old friend when we met by chance in the jungle! The whole trip from the moment we stepped foot in India was so wonderful. Everyone we met was so helpful, friendly, informative and could not do enough for us. All guides, drivers and naturalists who worked for or with Nature Safari were amazing. I have to give a particular mention about Kanha and our naturalist Kopal - words cannot express how wonderful and special the time we spent there was.   Something very different for me! I would highly suggest using this company, which went out of their way to ensure that a good time was had by all in our group of 14. All details were anticipated, and anything that was a bit of a burb in the road was attended to consciously. I did not think I would like the safari part of our extended trip to Delhi, Agra, Jaipur, and more because I was nervous about becoming lunch for a tiger! Our Nature guides were knowledgeable and friendly, filling in details about the animals and the ecosystem during our stay on the reserve. The hotel was gorgeous and was a lovely mental rest from the pace of the cities where we had been. The bulk of our 2.5 week trip was a cultural/textile outing. All the tiresome logistics were handled with great care. I've been on many tours, and I'd rank this one as among the very best.

  An Unforgettable Experience, the best trip we’ve ever had! An unforgettable Experience! Our Guide Ajeet not only went over & above to ensure we had the best Tiger sightings but his wealth of Knowledge on all of the Wildlife was incredible, as well as his friendly demeanour. Our Tour of Agra was also amazing thanks to our tour guide Khaizer that took us around the best views of the Taj Mahal and took some incredible photos for us. A massive thank you to both of our drivers, Gulab for getting us to & from the airport safely. Pratim & Neeraja for all their help throughout the travel experience, who couldn’t have been friendlier & did everything they could to ensure we had a great trip.   Perfection! Nature Safari India deserves high praise for a fantastic adventure to India for me and my husband. I added this review to another trip advisor site, not realizing this is their tripadvisor location. First, we chose India because I wanted to see tigers and I’m always looking for a small boat trip. The original plan was to do a tiger safari and a small boat cruise on the River Ganga. After finding Nature Safari India, the trip morphed into a 3 week cultural, historic and safari adventure. I cannot give enough good praise to Nature Safari India for all the work they did to make this trip special and how incredibly smooth everything went. Absolutely amazed and impressed. We didn’t know what questions to ask before arranging the trip, there were many discussions back and forth to help us with our style of travel. My husband and I have travelled a lot, 35 countries and counting. We are seasoned travelers and yet India took us by surprise. The intensity of the Hindu religion, the effects of so many people on the infrastructure of even small communities, and the influence of the Moghuls over many centuries, we went into this trip highly uneducated. Here’s some of our trip and how Nature Safari India made it special without us realizing how much effort this took until we got there. Our trip went like this: chaos, calm, chaos, calm, chaos. That turns out to be a perfect recipe. We started and ended our trip by staying at a renovated mansion (Haveli Dharampura) in the heart of Old Delhi. Starting and ending our trip in a magical haveli in the middle of chaos! This is India! I understand why they recommend Roseate hotel when we had a late or early flight as the Haveli Dharampura is 1 to 1.5 hours drive from the airport. Roseate is just a typical multistory airport hotel, good for those quick turnarounds. We had one driver for the first 6 days which included some long drives of 4-5 hours to get to Agra and Jaipur. This was nice as we got to know him and we were glad to see the small communities along the way. We liked all of our guides. Some young, some older, all with a genuine interest in teaching and sharing. I wasn’t sure about the Oberoi hotels as we like small boutique places, but the stay at Taj Mahal should be at Oberoi. You could not compete with the direct view of Taj Mahal. And our stay at Oberoi in Jaipur was very special. We participated in a blessing ceremony in a 300 year old temple in the middle of the property. It was very emotional even though I have no idea what they were chanting. Next was calm in Kanha National Park. In 5 days (10 safaris) we had 12 sightings of 6 tigers, 2 sloth bears, one jungle cat, 2 monkey species and so many birds, guar, deer, snakes and other animals. Back to chaos, we head to Varanasi where Nature Safari has recommended Brijrama Palace. Wow. Right on the River Ganga and steps from one of the Aarti. Brijrama recommended we attend Aarti with a young priest. He was so funny and interesting, he could have been a guide if he hadn’t chosen to be a priest. Varanasi is a unique place with a deeply spiritual vibe. I cannot describe it. Nature Safari had another city recommendation as I think Varanasi may be too intense for a lot of people, but we are glad we didn’t miss it. My husband and I both felt the aura and we are not religious people. Our guide for much of Varanasi was an older man named Dharmendra Tiwari, very religious and the perfect person to guide us through our stay in India’s holiest city. I mention him because we talked about his life as a guide. He said that he started his own guide business and was doing well until covid hit and, of course, everything fell apart. He said Nature Safari India continued to help and support him, which made us that much happier that we chose a company that helps their people when they need it. From Varanasi we went on a 3 day cruise on a 40 passenger boat. For some reason, there were only 2 of us as passengers with about 30 crew. The water level is too low in April to actually go anywhere except for a short trip up or down river but staying on the same dock every night. The crew of MV Bengal Ganga were so much fun. They did a Bollywood performance for us and got us to dance with them. We also saw the river porpoise when we went upstream. The rooms are amazing, the boat was great, but the crew is what made that bit of our calm worth it. The only animal products allowed to be eaten on the river are from milk, the vegetarian menu was great, even for hearty meat eaters like us. Finally, we headed back to Delhi for our last two nights at Haveli Dharampura. We had a food tour with a young guy named Juuwal. We had so much fun with him as well as great conversations about life, history, the past and the future. He’s no different than any other 25 year old in the world as he is concerned about his future. Very different discussions than those had with Dharmendra. Don’t miss a food tour in the chaos of Old Delhi. We are seasoned travelers and do not need extra assistance getting in and out of airports, but for those who have not travelled a lot, know that Nature Safari India will be there to help you in and out of the airport, they were spot on with drivers, the when, and the where. Everyone was on time with good communication. We did not have any glitches. My husband I have tried to come up with cons to using this company and there are none. They’ll try to lead you in the right direction for your style of travel and appear to have contacts throughout India. I wish we’d gone into the trip more educated about Hinduism, would like to have had a better understanding of tipping as we didn’t know if the recommendations were per person or for us as a couple and what to tip at hotels, you will go to a place every day where they will show you how they make something (carpets, weavings, marble, brass, jewelry) and you’ll get a sales pitch. This didn’t bother us as we liked buying some quality items direct from the source, but I can see that some people would be overwhelmed by the daily “shopping”, also we should have been aware that we should carry some small bills for use of public restrooms (note: every public restroom we went into had at least one western toilet. Bring your own toilet paper!), and you need a whatsapp account for communication. Nature Safari India did a great job with our trip. I appreciate how much work this must have taken to make it run smoothly.

  What an incredible experience 😍😍😍 Where do I start, we were recommended this company from a couple we met whilst travelling in Uganda and I completely understand why they spoke so highly of them. Ishana was great and advised us where to visit for the best tiger and leopard sightings for a shorter trip. This company advise at least 6 safaris, because you have more chance of seeing everything you want. We were so lucky and saw tigers or leopards... or both on every single safari 😍.The price was very, very reasonable for what was included as well.The transfer was on time, had great air con(which is needed in April 🤣) and snacks and drinks were also provided.Our accommodation at Pench Jungle Camp was lovely, the room was huge, it had everything you needed and the staff were amazing. The food was also plentiful and very tasty.Do not hesitate to contact this company, and don't panic if communication is sometimes slightly delayed, there is a reason and that's because they're so busy creating the perfect trip for all of their customers.

  Tigersafari India The trip to India with Nature Safari was excellently organized ! We had wonderful wildlife observations with tigers, leopards, buffaloes, elephants and rhinos in the Corbett ,Ranthambore and Kaziranga National Parks . The lodges were excellently selected with great opportunities to get to know Indian cuisine. We really enjoyed the cultural excursions to Agra with Taj Mahal and Jaipur with Amber Palace together with knowledgeable guides.   Perfect Tiger Safari Holiday We travelled from New Zealand to India to see tigers in the wild. Nature Safari India Ltd (Tiger Safaris) arranged everything from the moment we stepped off the plane in Delhi to when we departed 3 weeks later. We visited 3 national Parks and saw tigers. If you are wanting to do something like this just use Nature Safari India. Everything, from the initial website contact to the planning, advice, hotels, vehicles, drivers, guides, naturalists, airport transfers, travel between Parks and choice of the three National Parks (Pench, Kanha and Bandhavgarh) was perfect and flawlessly arranged. We dealt mainly with Ishana whose support, advice and guidance from day one to the end of the trip was exceptional. No stress, no strain. A wonderful introduction to Safaris in India.

  Seamless experience thanks to Tiger Safari India The organisation of our safari was really easy. Neerja was very responsive, explaining the options, sending plenty of documentation, modifying the quote instantly. Then, since we landed in Delhi until we flew back home, all bookings and transfers were exactly as planned, without a minute of delay.
