According to the latest 2022 census, the tiger population in India has increased by nearly 22%, with the country now home to approximately 3,682 tigers (ranging between 3,167 and 3,925). This marks a remarkable conservation milestone, as the tiger population has doubled over the past 15 years.

Tourism revenue has significantly reduced the local communities’ dependency on forest resources, particularly around prominent wildlife destinations in India. Many of the 50 tiger safari parks across the country have gained recognition for their positive impact on wildlife preservation.
